Across the country, thousands of trained NAMI volunteers bring peer-led programs to a wide variety of community settings, from churches to schools to NAMI Lexington and Participation Station. With the unique understanding of people with lived experience, these programs and support groups provide outstanding free education, skills training, and support.

Schizophrenia Alliance Support Group
This group is a nationally recognized 6‑step program for individuals dealing with Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Schizoaffective D/O, and other related disorders. The group will typically run 60–90 minutes and follow the guidance of the “Blue Book” which was developed by Joanne Verbanic, the founder of Schizophrenia Anonymous.

Young Adult Support Group
The NAMI Young Adult Group offers support, information, and fellowship to young adults, ages 18–35, experiencing mental health concerns. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month via Zoom video conference and occasionally for community social outings. To be notified of monthly meetings please email Tracy at tracynamilex@gmail.com and your email will be placed on the group listserv to receive monthly group notifications.

Double Trouble in Recovery (DTR) is an independent, Twelve Step fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from their particular addiction(s) and manage their mental disorder(s).
